女性盆腔生殖器官及其周围的结缔组织、盆腔腹膜发生炎症时，称为盆腔炎，包括子宫炎、输卵管卵巢炎、盆腔结缔组织炎及盆腔腹膜炎，可一处或几处同时发病，是妇女常见病之一。

一般所指的盆腔炎症主要就是指的子宫、输卵管、卵巢出现的炎症的渗出、充血、水肿等一些炎性的表现。

盆腔炎五大危害

危害一宫外孕。盆腔炎多因看诊不及时而致，时间长了可使输卵管内层黏膜粘连，从而导致管腔变窄或闭锁。这样，卵子、精子或受精卵的运行便会受阻，造成宫外孕。

危害二不孕。盆腔炎会直接影响到子宫、输卵管的功能，尤其是慢性盆腔炎，会致使输卵管僵化或阻塞，会严重影响精子的运行与卵子的输送，终引发不孕症。

危害三痛经。由于盆腔炎涉及生殖器官所有内藏部分，包括子宫、输卵管及卵巢的炎症。所以引起的痛经范围很大，主要表现为双侧上腹持续性疼痛，可放射至腰部，有时伴有肛门坠胀感。

危害四性生活痛。性生活时，男性稍微用力就会引起女性盆腔深部的撞击痛，使女性不仅感觉不到快感，久了甚至会对性生活产生反感情绪。

危害五盆腔粘连。严重的盆腔炎会蔓延至盆腔腹膜、子宫等组织，终造成广泛性粘。

对女性来说，久坐还会因盆腔静脉回流受阻、瘀血过多导致盆腔炎、附件炎等妇科病痛。
